His project “Money Blocks” for Barclays received exceptional acclaim at the 2023 D&AD New Blood Awards, securing two Pencils including the coveted White Pencil—an honour reserved for outstanding creative work that demonstrates positive social impact. This distinguished achievement highlights Lewis’s ability to merge thoughtful design with meaningful purpose, creating solutions that not only excel aesthetically but also drive positive change. Lewis
Creative Director
Lewis, the creative director of Berlew, is an award-winning designer with a real love for branding, web design and anything creative. He has won two prestigious, international D&AD New Blood Awards, including the elusive White Pencil – given to “Exceptional projects that use the power of creativity to drive behavioural, environmental, societal or policy change”. Having left Nottingham Trent University with the achievement of a 1st class Graphic Design degree, he has continued developing the business into a fully-fledged design studio offering crafted and bespoke brands, activated through effective and user-focussed websites.
“I am thrilled to have achieved one of my goals of receiving a D&AD pencil. To win an international design award is something that still feels surreal. Now I’m concentrating on Berlew; designing brands that have a real impact in the world and building websites that exceed client expectations.
